Jump

Apartment windows and shaking hands, I can finally see where I stand.
Airplane wings and mountain tops have led me away from where I fell off.
Open skies and moonlit nights have poured these thoughts from my eyes.
Cherry red sunsets and sleepy mornings have woken the depths of my soul.
Shake off your slumber and rise, everything else awaits.
It’s been a climb, a preparation, now we’re at the crux.
So much is left, but first I have to jump.
Dive in headlong, leave it all behind. Dying to live, grasping at hope, to be free from all that held us down, to touch the face of love.
