Sitting on a wooden platform, elevated with the trees, staring at the sunset, I can do no else but thank my God for what He has blessed me with, and most of all, the opportunity to learn to love as He does.
It’s a struggle, for our thoughts are not His, we are constantly learning, forgiven, striving to follow Him in all we do. Staying in His word, staying by his side.
We can not forget the beauty of what He has given us. A hug from a dear one, whispered words ringing softly, the warmth of a sunset, giving to the chills of the night sky, and the moon reflecting light upon us, even in the dark.
May we never forget, nor take for granted the simplest things, even amid chaos, especially then. As I look of the details of life, in literature, in the study of Creation, through experience and by the stories relayed by mouth, I see more and more of His beauty and wonder, captured even in silence.
As a storyteller, I strive to capture pieces of His love, the world He gave us, and the ones who dwell in it. We are to love every one of them, not the ways of the wrong, but the people behind them. It is easier to overlook one wrong by someone who is constantly uplifting you than to overlook a multitude of wrongs by one who has just found His way. But we aren’t called to easy, we are called to Love, to show His light to the world.
” My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.” James 5:19-20
You weren’t too far gone, neither are they. And when they come back, it is truly beautiful.
Dream of a distant land, dream of the one around, pursue love above all, and keep hope and faith by your side. Love the ones He has placed alongside you in your journey, and everyone you meet.
