it’s more than just a song, its a lifestyle
So Wednesday, AB started the new series take it to the bridge with an amazing message and I just couldn’t not share it with you, it was a very special message to me.
things change, friends, people, life, situations, but there’s one thing that won’t change: you will always love something. What that is, will change and probably has changed, allot.
Sometimes people including pastors get caught up in whats going on and forget where they are.
If you’re going to worship in spirit, you must develop a spirit of worship.
Romans 12:1-2 So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
Stuff happens. Life isn’t easy, but nobody ever said it would be.
What is worship?
-great excessive love or admiration felt by somebody or something.
James 1:17 Every good action and every perfect gift is from God. These good gifts come down from the Creator of the sun, moon, and stars, who does not change like their shifting shadows.
“I was created for His purpose”
Romans 8:9-14 But if God himself has taken up residence in your life, you can hardly be thinking more of yourself than of him. Anyone, of course, who has not welcomed this invisible but clearly present God, the Spirit of Christ, won’t know what we’re talking about. But for you who welcome him, in whom he dwells—even though you still experience all the limitations of sin—you yourself experience life on God’s terms. It stands to reason, doesn’t it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he’ll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ’s! So don’t you see that we don’t owe this old do-it-yourself life one red cent. There’s nothing in it for us, nothing at all. The best thing to do is give it a decent burial and get on with your new life. God’s Spirit beckons. There are things to do and places to go!
It’s a lifestyle
“If you dissed your friends like you do God, you’d be a lonely person.”~AB
Shut up. If you’re talking you can’t hear God. God created you the way you are.
So this was my notes, you can only get so much if you didn’t hear it, it’s allot different in person. Maybe you don’t go to Twentyfour/7, if you’d like to visit let me know. Just send me a fb message if you can come, that would be awesome 🙂
Live long and prosper, Tori.
