Life’s Like a Book, Words make it what it is

Life is like that perfect book. Packed full of mystery, thrill, love, confusion, trust, and ‘real’ situations. But life, like a book doesn’t always turn out how you thought it would. Things happen that just an hour ago you would’ve never seen coming. Sometimes in life we try to skip through the pages really fast and we end up lost and confused. Other times we refuse to get over and let go of what happened a long time ago or even just a short time ago, no matter how long ago it was you’re letting it hold you back from your amazing future. The difference? In life, we have a guide to help us through. God gave us the Holy Spirit to help us make the right decisions.

Have you ever read a book, and one of the characters are about to do something stupid and you try to tell them not to? Well sometimes the Holy Spirit does that to us except we can hear unlike the characters in the book. In a book you can (if you feel like ruining it for yourself) flip to the end, find out what happens, and then go back and nothing changes. But in life, when you are revealed something, you CAN change it. The future is unknown and up to you. God knows what is gonna happen in your life but we sure don’t.

Something else that effects your life’s path is your own words.

Proverbs 18 1 Loners who care only for themselves spit on the common good. 2 Fools care nothing for thoughtful discourse; all they do is run off at the mouth. 3 When wickedness arrives, shame’s not far behind; contempt for life is contemptible. 4 Many words rush along like rivers in flood, but deep wisdom flows up from artesian springs. 5 It’s not right to go easy on the guilty, or come down hard on the innocent. 6 The words of a fool start fights; do him a favor and gag him. 7 Fools are undone by their big mouths; their souls are crushed by their words. 8 Listening to gossip is like eating cheap candy; do you really want junk like that in your belly? 9 Slack habits and sloppy work are as bad as vandalism. 10 God’s name is a place of protection— good people can run there and be safe. 11 The rich think their wealth protects them; they imagine themselves safe behind it. 12 Pride first, then the crash, but humility is precursor to honor. 13 Answering before listening is both stupid and rude. 14 A healthy spirit conquers adversity, but what can you do when the spirit is crushed? 15 Wise men and women are always learning, always listening for fresh insights. 16 A gift gets attention; it buys the attention of eminent people. 17 The first speech in a court case is always convincing— until the cross-examination starts! 18 You may have to draw straws when faced with a tough decision. 19 Do a favor and win a friend forever; nothing can untie that bond. 20 Words satisfy the mind as much as fruit does the stomach; good talk is as gratifying as a good harvest. 21 Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose. 22 Find a good spouse, you find a good life— and even more: the favor of God! 23 The poor speak in soft supplications; the rich bark out answers. 24 Friends come and friends go, but a true friend sticks by you like family.

Ok, so i don’t know about you but when I first read that I was like “OMW is that really out of the Bible?” to answer you, yes yes it is. When you don’t know what to do turn to God. But when He shows you what to do, you kinda actually have to do it. When it says that words can kill, you’d better be careful with your words.

Hmm… another similarity, words build not only a book but also the story of your life….

Well, if you have any more questions about this just ask me, I’m here to answer you.

I’m glad I have friends that are like family and will stick with me till the end. Thank God for your friends, family, and of course your friends who are practically family. What does it mean to have friends like family?

Well the common misconception is that you just hang out all the time and your just really really good friends.

Having friends that are like family means actually treating them like family. You could trust them with anything. You can tease each other without getting offended. You could trust them with your life. You will love them no matter what. Yes, you’l fight but in the end it’l all work out. You’re there for them, they’re there for you, no matter what/when.

Thanks guys for being my friends and family! I love you guys nothing could ever change that. 🙂 ❤

Live long and prosper, Tori.
