Extravagance

Sometimes we get a little selfish, you know the “Iv’e done enough, now it’s your turn” feeling? Well that feeling is easy to come by, so what can we do when we feel like that? Well I’m sure most of you (if you read your bible) are familiar with the sowing and reaping principal. You know you sow a seed, you reap the harvest. Well that works for waaaaaaaaay more than money. “How does that work?” 2 Corinthians 9:8 “God can bless you with everything you need, and you will always have more than enough to do all kinds of good things for others.” and Luke 6:38 “Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity.” So if you give away your life, you’ll find life given back. So let’s say you need time, sow your time into serving and you’ll find yourself with plenty of time, I know this from experience. You want friends? Be a friend. You want trust? Show trust. You want someone to talk to? Listen. You want encouragement? Give some. You want gifts? Give some. You want energy? Exercise. You want someone to make your day? Make theirs. You want respect? Show it. You want someone to care about you who you think might never care about you? Care about someone you’d never imagine even talking to.

You’ll be amazed at how this works. Just be extravagant with what you have to others. In addition to the reaping, the feeling of making someone else’s day is A-mazing!!!

Live long and prosper, Tori.
