Fearless, are you?

So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages]. Isaiah 26:4

Ok, so you’ve probably heard this verse before. But how many people understand the meaning? People say they get it but still live in fear, why are you still afraid? To put your trust fully in God, it means not to distrust Him. Being afraid is basically  telling God you don’t trust Him to take care of you. This hit me really hard. I’m not easily scared, but there are things in my head that I’m worried about. Worry is fear. I gave God all my fears and WORRYS. But say you don’t think thaat there is anything bad about worrying? … look at this

THE WICKED flee when no man pursues them, but the [uncompromisingly] righteous are bold as a lion Proverbs 28:1

So if the wicked are constantly scared of nothing and the righteous are bold… Wouldn’t that mean we should be bold and not scared? God doesn’t want us to live in fear. We have no reason to live in fear, then why are we afraid???

Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for and hope for and expect the Lord! Psalms 31:24

So be fearless through Him, and don’t let the enemy trick you into being scared of your shadow. Back at Xtreme winter in Gatlinburg TN, we passed an alley, it didn’t look scary at all, light was shining in and everything, but that very same alley could look intimidating and scary at night when it was dark.

So at vision Quest me and Kalee played football/volleyball (long story). We had just had icecream and were super hyper. We probably did look scary to most people passing haha. But if you knew us you’d know we just had sugar. Think about it. Maybe what you’re afraid of isn’t really scary at all. Maybe you just need to shed some light on it or look deeper into what it is. Don’t just be afraid of a bright alley or teenage girls on sugar. 🙂

Live long and prosper, Tori.
